Li Da Xu (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in information science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 1978 and 1981, respectively.
He received the PhD degree in systems science and engineering (with support area Design of Information Systems) from Portland State University, Portland, OR, USA, in 1986.
