Research Interests

A.N. Sobolevski is a specialist in mathematical physics (theory of dynamical systems, partial derivative equations, mathematical models of gas dynamics, statistical physics and thermodynamics, applications to hydrodynamics and cosmology). He proposed a method of reconstruction of the process of formation of the large-scale structure of the Universe based on the solution of convex programming problems (Monge–Kantorovich transport problem), dealt with optimization theory, mathematical control theory, and optimal control.

Publications

A.N. Sobolevski is the author of more than 45 publications, 35 of which are published in Scopus or Web of Science. He is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Automation and Telemechanics journal.

Awards

In 2017, he was awarded Order of Academic Palms (France) for merit in education and science.
