Author Guidelines

Liability of the Authors

The authors must submit reliable research results. Obviously erroneous or falsified statements are unacceptable.

The authors who submit their works for publication in Russian Technological Journal shall guarantee that the manuscripts are original, i.e., they have not been published elsewhere in the present form or similar to it in content, and that the works are not under consideration by editorial boards of other publications. The authors shall also guarantee that all potential conflicts of interest relating to the copyright and publication of the respective articles have been settled.

Each author must meet the following authorship criteria:

- The author must make a substantial contribution to the conception and design, or acquisition and analysis of the data or their interpretation.

- The author should contribute to the refinement or significant reworking of the content of the study.

- The author needs to make a decision on the final approval of the version to be published.

- The author must agree to be responsible for all aspects of the work and guarantee appropriate consideration and resolution of potential issues related to the accuracy and integrity of all parts of the work.

The principles that the authors of all manuscripts should follow are presented in full in the Publishing Ethics section.

Liability of the Editorial Board

All manuscripts are accepted for publication on the grounds of the results of the peer review. A double-blind peer review method is mandatory for processing of all scientific manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Office of Russian Technological Journal. Members of the Editorial Board and external experts, who specialize in fields close to those of the reviewed works, are engaged in the review process.

The Editorial Board is liable for the quality of the research articles; therefore, appropriate measures are taken to prevent inadequate actions on the part of the authors and reviewers. Additionally, the Editorial Board ensures that all norms of publishing ethics are complied with. In all cases related to compliance with the publication ethics, the Editorial Board follows the COPE instructions.

All manuscripts submitted to Russian Technological Journal are reviewed by the Managing Editor to ensure their conformity to the profile of the journal and the requirements regarding the text layout and formatting. Articles that fail to meet the profile of the journal or its requirements are rejected by the Editorial Board without any review.

It is the prerogative of the Editorial Board to select a suitable peer reviewer. Importantly, the names of the reviewers are never disclosed. Articles accepted for publication are thoroughly edited. Minor amendments and stylistic corrections, including modifications of the formal and editor’s lists, are performed in the article without the approval of the authors. If as a result of the review or editing processes the necessity for more substantial corrections is identified, the article will be sent back to the authors for finalization. The authors will have to incorporate all necessary amendments and make comments regarding the critical remarks in a response letter to the Editorial Board. The finalized manuscript should be returned to the Editorial Board within a maximum of 10 working days.

A full description of the peer review process is provided in the Peer Review section.

Rules for Submitting Articles

We recommend authors to submit their manuscript online via the WEB-form available at https://www.rtj-mirea.ru/jour/about/submissions. Please complete the registration process on the journal's website, which will enable to you to send any materials via the specified form. In case of any enquiries, we recommend that you contact us by e-mail: seredina@mirea.ru.

Manuscripts are accepted either in English or in Russian. All articles submitted to the Editorial Office in Russian are translated into English by qualified scientific translators. The manuscripts are then professionally edited by native English speakers (Awatera).

Research articles should be limited to 4000 words or 27000 characters with spaces.  A review article should not exceed 8000 words or 60000 characters with spaces (including tables and list of references). Brief reports and letters to the editor should not exceed 1500 words. Please consult the MS Word built-in statistics feature prior to submission to determine the exact length of your manuscript. Should your manuscript exceed the aforementioned limits, the Editorial Board will make the final decision on its publication based on the recommendations from the reviewer.

Indexing in Russian and international databases requires certain metadata to be provided for your paper. Please use the WEB-form to submit a manuscript:

  1. Please provide us with:
  • names, affiliations, and scientific degrees of all authors;
  • contact information (e-mail address as well as name and address of organizations with which the authors affiliate, ORCID, ResearсherID, and Scopus Author ID) for all authors. The corresponding author's email address will be publicly available to facilitate contact with the research team.
  1. Article title and Abstract. These should exactly match the text of the corresponding fields in your manuscript file.
  2. Please make sure to add 5 to 10 concise and accurate keywords.
  3. Indicate the language (or languages in case of a bilingual manuscript) of your paper (e.g., [ru; en]).
  4. List of references should be organized in Vancouver style. For detailed instructions on bibliographic formatting, refer to References list guidelines.
  5. Highlights and Supplementary materials should be submitted as separate files with appropriate captions (e.g., Jonson_Fig. 1.).  Highlights should include three to four key ideas, which describe the novel results of your research as well as new methods that were used during the study (if any). Highlights offer your paper a considerable advantage online, as they ensure that search engines bring your article to the attention of a suitable audience. Highlights broaden the reach of your work and help to ensure that your article is brought to the attention of any interested researchers. Highlights can also lead to new collaborations with researchers in different countries and communities.
  6. Completing submission. Please carefully check the list of attached files prior to completing the submission process. Within 7 days, the Editorial Board will confirm the receipt of the submitted materials by e-mail. Please contact the editors in case of any questions regarding the processing of your manuscript. Accessing your personal account on our website allows you to monitor the progress of the review process.

In addition to the main manuscript signed by all authors, please submit the following documents as separate files:
